Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current PA-C certification through NCCPA.
• Current, full, active and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• At least one year of Physician Assistant experience in an emergency-room setting within the last three years.
• Ability to commute to Jacksonville or relocate before the assignment begins.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency, primary, and specialty medical care within training and privileges granted by the facility.
• Evaluate acute, chronic, and minor-trauma conditions and recognize emergency conditions requiring escalation.
• Diagnose, treat, counsel, prescribe, and refer patients under approved protocols and scope of practice.
• Perform applicable diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, and other clinical professionals.
• Participate in staff education, case discussion, and continuous quality improvement.

Compensation and benefits
